Dr Stacey Gelis(BVSc (Hons) MACVSc (Avian Health))Stacey is an avian veterinarian with 18 years of experience in treating avian patients from small finches through to ostriches - and most things in between. Stacey graduated from the University of Melbourne and practiced initially in Melbourne and, for the last 7 years, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland before moving to Sydney earlier this year. Stacey obtained Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Avian Medicine in 1995. He is currently a co-examiner for the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Avian Medicine and a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians. As well as his professional qualifications Stacey has kept and bred many species of birds since childhood. He has also travelled extensively overseas to further his avian pursuits. His CV includes authorship of numerous scientific papers on avian medicine, as well as contributing chapters to veterinary and avicultural textbooks and journals. |
