The surgery service at the Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is dedicated to providing the highest possible standards of patient care and excellence in small animal surgical techniques. The specialist small animal surgeons that perform all of the referral surgical consultations and subsequent surgeries have extensive experience in general soft tissue, orthopaedic, neurosurgical, trauma management, reconstructive surgery and oncological surgery. The surgeons are available to give pet owners a complete range of all options that are appropriate for the treatment of any surgical condition as well as estimated costs and prognosis for these options.

The specialist surgeons are assisted in patient care by two dedicated surgical intern veterinarians and a highly qualified team of dedicated small animal surgical nurses. The integration of surgery with internal medicine, oncology, medical imaging, ophthalmology and dermatology greatly aids in achievement of the best outcomes in all patients that require surgical interventions. The 24 hour veterinarian care provided by the ARH allows for excellent postoperative pain relief and patient care.

The surgeons are happy to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of patients under the care of general veterinarians by phone or e-mail correspondence including a radiographic appraisal of any surgical case.

Consultations are available Monday-Friday by appointment only at Homebush.
