Our medical specialists are qualified specialists in both canine and feline medicine. They have undertaken rigorous training overseas to be able to provide the highest standards of care here in Australia. Internal medicine covers endocrine diseases such as thyroid disease and diabetes, kidney disease, heart and respiratory disease, gastrointestinal disease including liver, pancreas and bowel disease, neurologic, cardiac, immune and joint disease.
Our medical specialists are referred patients that are critically ill to help diagnose and stabilise their condition, or patients with ongoing problems that need a fresh set of eyes to help get to the bottom of an ongoing issue. As with all our specialists, they use advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound, endoscopy, CT and MRI to obtain answers that allow the best possible therapy to be used.
Consultations are available Monday-Friday by appointment only at Homebush.
