Beth McDonald

Beth graduated in 1988 with honours. In 1989 she began small animal practice in Sydney where she worked until 1995. In 1990 she began the Master of Veterinary Studies through Murdoch University, which she successfully completed in two years.

In 1994 she became a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine and in 2995 she began a residency in Veterinary Dermatology at the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Beth completed her residency in 1997 and in 1998 successfully completed an examination granting her Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Dermatologists. Beth returned to Australia in 1997 and began practice as a consultant dermatologist with special interests in allergies, immune-mediated diseases and demodicosis.

Beth is Sydney's most experienced dermatologist, providing help in the diagnosis and management of all types of skin disease in dogs and cats. She has a lot of success managing chronic skin allergies with intradermal skin testing, and is also particularly interested in endocrine and immune-mediated skin disease.

Consultations are available on Thursdays by appointment only at Homebush.
